A precision screwdriver is a hand tool with a similar intended function as a conventional screwdriver but a smaller form factor and a sleeker handle design. It is usually used for work on small, intricate electronics. These little screwdrivers, sometimes known as jewel screwdrivers, have thinner sizings of the flat and cross-head designs than their bigger counterparts. A precision screwdriver's handle is also different from a conventional screwdriver's handle in that it is usually straight and narrow, as opposed to the bulky grips of regular screwdrivers, which are designed to allow purchase to grip the instrument while twisting. Repairing small electronics like watches, calculators, phones, and computers need the use of a precision screwdriver.
