The pH or high-resolution pH corrected ORP is measured by the Type 18 differential sensor. The temperature sensor is included into the durable enamel GlasteelTM structure of the sensor. Without the need for a protective cage, users can install the sensor into the process in any direction and sense the pH immediately. By eliminating reference junctions/diaphragms and internal electrolyte solutions, Type 18 offers a minimal maintenance measurement. As a result, common problems with glass sensors including aging and fouling of the reference system are eliminated by the design. In the process, single point calibration reduces maintenance even further. The sensor can be calibrated without the operator having to take it out. Users can even leave the sensor in an empty pipe or tank without harming the sensing elements permanently.
