The accuracy of temperature sensors is tested by thermocouple calibrators through complex electronic circuitry rather than comparison to a reference. They are not real calibrators in this sense, but they can give personnel a quick, affordable option to field test thermocouples and RTDs by comparing the temperature the sensor measures to the voltage or milliamp signal generated.
This Thermocouple Calibrator is capable of sourcing and measuring 8 different types of thermocouples.
